How is the authenticity of HEDR-read data ensured?

HEDR is designed to read and copy the data stored in the vehicle’s EDR module only; it does not alter, overwrite or delete the original crash data. If you follow the proper procedure, HEDR ensures that the same raw EDR data is extracted every time, functioning like mirroring a digital file rather than editing it.

How does HEDR ensure the integrity and accuracy of the retrieved EDR data?

HEDR reads the EDR data three times and cross-verifies the results to confirm complete consistency across all readings. The report includes the raw hexadecimal data, enabling the results to be re-decoded and verified independently.
